Gallery: The B & W Wildlife Collection
These images have all been converted to black & white, simply because the subject matter, in this case, lends itself to being showcased in B & W. This medium enhances the images by creating a bold and somewhat dramatic effect.B & W printing has always been around, but especially in these times it is becoming more and more popular. Most of my B & W images will have a slight tone to them, usually drifting towards a cyan and yellow. This essentially gives the image a light "sepia" tone and in some instances, what we call a "split" tone.
The dramatic thick border adds to the image aswell. All the black borders are individually hand sketched using a thick koki pen and at times a thin paint brush and "Galleria acrylic" paint. This is then scanned before being introduced to an imaging software where it is "placed" around the image.
This collection of images is suitable to be printed to canvass, which is a Fine Art 350 g/m and 100% cotton, natral white.Alternatively, the images print very well to the Hahnemule 308 g/m Giclee' Fine Art paper.
